Maybelline Baby Lips

Baby Lips

Baby Lips

I am addicted to lip products. I use chap stick, aquaphor, lip sticks and lip tints like no ones business! These claim to be moisturizing with a hint of color. Nice for the people who do not like wearing lipsticks or lip glosses. I personally did not think they helped in moisturizing my lip at all. They feel smooth and nice on application but rubbed off so quickly. They do not leave my lips feeling quenched. I enjoy the slight hint of color, quick and easy but again, rubs off instantly. I would recommend these for maybe younger girls who aren’t quite into makeup yet or for just something to throw on for quick color.

So after Maybelline Baby Lips were such a big hit. Not for me personally but for the general public, they released Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm.

Baby Lips (3)

Dr. Rescue

Dr. Rescue is a new formulation of the Baby Lips formula which contains eucalyptus to “heal” sore lips and cold blisters. They are available in six shades and are supposedly a “medicated care” formula (menthol external analgesic) with a natural hint of tint with a formula that provides 12 hours of hydration. I was more excited about these than the original Baby Lips because I have chapped, dry lips pretty often since I wear lots of different products throughout the day. Man, they were also such a disappointment. I felt like when you first apply, the cool freshness does feel like it brought relief to chapped lips but I do not think they actually do anything to heal. I was reapplying so many times throughout the day and just felt like it was a waste. The color also seemed lacking, did nothing to smooth out the roughness of my dry lips. Seemed to draw more attention to certain areas, patches.

I will stick to my Aquaphor and Nivea lip care products.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Naked 3

Naked 3 (2)

Naked 3

Ooooh Ooooh Ooooh! I have wanted one of the Naked palette for so long. SO LONG! As makeup obsessed as I am, sometimes I just can’t justify spending $50+ on an eye shadow palette. I know I would use it and love it but some brands just think way too highly of their name. I hear such wonderful things about their line but then I find duplicate (dups) all the time that do exactly what theirs does. I suppose to each their own. I had my eye on the Naked 2 Palette for quite sometime and even debated on it instead of the newly released Naked 3, but when I received a $40 Gift card for Ulta, I KNEW what my purchase would be. I ran straight over to my local Ulta to find they were sold out of all the Naked Palettes, thanks Christmas rush. Luckily they were getting some more in the next day, so it helped me sit on my decision for one more day. I am slightly obsessed with anything rose related, floral patterns, rose scents, and of course rose colors. This baby couldn’t make my rose love more happy! With the right amount of nude to rose shades, I really think this palette is everyday wearable. (Side note, and I have been wearing it everyday) With only a couple matte shades I was worried it would be too shimmery for me. I love my mattes more than shimmer majority of the time. I love the Naked Basics, which I reviewed in my blog in the past, it’s a small matte/neutral palette. I don’t consider it as one of the main Naked palettes, but I do have it. It is a really nice, easy palette. Anyways, this beauty really makes me happy. As I had heard before the pigment and texture of these eye shadows really do top Cover Girl, Maybelline and so on in a way. I notice a difference and must admit I feel luxurious using it. Haha

Naked 3 (3)

Strange: Is a pinky-cream, more on the matte side with SLIGHT shimmer. A highlighting dream.

Dust: Is a frosty pink, might be my least favorite. It seems a little too frosty and dusty, still wearable when toned down with a matte.

Burnout: Is a peachy-pink. My favorite lid color, it really brings out my blue eyes.

Limit: Is a matte rose. So gorgeous. Especially to blend out the crease, it really warms up the lid.

Buzz: Is a rose to almost mauve. More bold and dark.

Trick: Is a gold, maybe more rose gold shimmer. Great for the inner corner of your eye or a fun eyeliner when smudged.

Nooner: Is a darker matte rose/mauve. Great for crease and shading.

Liar: Is a darker shimmer rose/mauve. Romantic and smooth.

Factory: Is getting more into a brown/bronze. Helps the palette wearable for nights out with a smokier shade.

Mugshot: Is a taupe/bronze shimmer. This is a fantastic lid, crease or eyeliner eye shadow. I use it for all! More neutral.

Darkside: Is a rosey/dark brown. Wonderful crease, smudging shade.

Blackheart: Is a black/purple. Shimmers slight red/purple but has the intensity of a black shadow.

Overall this palette is wonderful. I enjoy it so much! Romantic yet playful. All the colors are easy to work with and would compliment every eye color. Is it an expensive palette? Yup! Is it worth it? Yep! Comes with a double sided eye shadow brush and is in a great lightweight case. Sometimes you just need to spoil yourself with makeup, especially when you use it everyday.

Products I Love

Aveeno Eczema Therapy

Aveeno Eczema Therapy

Winter months are here…dryness is everywhere! At least for me. Ugh I get so dry and itchy during the winter. I was experiencing some major dry, red, itchy skin around my eyelid and eyebrow. My makeup wasn’t looking the best because of it also. So I researched a bit and realized it was a mild case of Eczema. I had never really had Eczema before. I picked this product up and after a week I noticed such a difference! The redness, gone! The dryness, gone! However the itchiness still slightly remains, but majorly reduced. I have now been using this product for over a month and am very happy with it. There is no real cure for Eczema but I can live with using this. It smooth’s out the skin and it just feels better. My makeup applies nicely over it. So if you are in need of a little extra moisture for those EXTRA dry areas, I recommend this Aveeno Moisturizing cream.

Finger Brush

FingerBrush by Olivia Garden

I had a coupon for Ulta once again and was browsing around that wonderful place, I remembered I was in need of a new hair brush. My good ol’ Aveda wooden brush was falling apart, had that bad boy for 5 plus years. Maybe be gross to some people but I took good care of it and it was a beast of a brush. If there is such a thing. Haha So I was going to be pretty picky on my hair brush choice. When I saw this line of brushes I was intrigued, definitely had a look of their own. On the pricier side for a brush, but with the love I had for my Aveda one I understood. At $16.00 for the Small I picked it up! I have not been disappointed. It has such a lightweight feel, it’s very gentle on my scalp, thanks to the curve in the bristles of the brush. I really do like this brush, I don’t feel like it’s rips or snags my hair at all.

Beauty Blender

Beauty Blender

I have mentioned this product before in a post but I had never actually used an original Beauty Blender before. I had always heard of how great it is and how it will replaced your foundation brush. So I new it was a great applicator to recommend. For Christmas Santa was kind enough to get me this wonderful creature. It does take a few days to get used to, it’s not very normal or natural at first. Felt foreign to my routine, but now I am a master! Haha It really is quite a nice applicator. Just squeeze the blender under running water until it starts to grow, squeeze out the excess water  and then apply your foundation. Surprisingly the moisture doesn’t affect the foundation, it seems to help it blend and smooth across your face. The end result is always flawless.

Makeup Life Update.

I apologize for my blog absence, I did not mean to be gone for so long. I would like to blame the busy Holidays, because well that is the easiest excuse. But I know I also have been just comfortable with the products I had been using and wanting to save money. So I was not purchasing anything new, different or fun to try out. I have been focusing more on myself. I really love makeup and beauty products, it has really become a fun little hobby of mine. My makeup applications/weddings and events has kind of taken a bit of a backseat in my life as well. As I enjoy the experience and art of being a makeup artist, I still get nervous and insecure about my talent. Weddings are such an amazing thing to be a part of as a makeup artist, makes me proud to see my work in their professional photos. However, they can be such a stressful event. I have been apart of and witnessed so many wedding in the last 10 years, have realized how particular people can be. Everyone is happy and excited yet worried about time and money. Completely understandable, they want everything to be perfect, be just right and well be the happiest day of their lives. When you are a makeup artist or hairstylist it is especially stressful because any mistake or any thing you do that the person does not like means more time wasted. I know I begin to sweat if an eyelash decides not to stay glued, or if their skin is extra dry and pealing, or if I get mascara on the eyelid. Mini panic in my head! Haha I am a perfectionist and really am hard on myself sometimes. I realize most clients do not think about or understand my perspective. I do not expect them to, I am doing my job and need to be at my best. It is just tricky, so I find myself pulling back from what I once loved which is makeup artistry. Until I can figure out my own insecurities,  hopefully get back into some applications and events I will continue to post on this blog of randomness. 🙂 I appreciate anyone that has stayed with me and hope you enjoy things to come. I cannot guarantee crazy amounts of posts but when I want to share a product or technique I will!

Looking forward to a better year of beauty!

Lush Haul

I was running out of my favorite shower gel Flying Fox and was preparing to make a trip to my local Lush store. However, when I was looking at the Lush site to see what else I wanted to stock up on, I noticed they had a Limited Online Offer of the Rose Jam shower gel. I’ve never tried this shower gel before but I LOVE the rose scents and was quite intrigued. So I decided to place my order online, then I also decided to order from the UK site. I have heard that is can actually be cheaper to order from the UK site, and they were right! I added up what my order would be at the US site and then compared with shipping and all from UK site, which came out to be about $11.00 cheaper. Sounds good to me! It said my order wouldn’t be delivered until Oct 23 but I ended up getting my order earlier last week Oct 16th, nice! So I am a happy camper! Here is what I ordered…

Rose Jam/Ro’s Argan/Lovely Jubblies

Lush Rose jam

Rose Jam Shower Gel

“Our Rose Jam shower gel with its sweet, addictive scent is back by popular demand. With a vanilla pod infusion, goji berry juice and vitamin rich, nourishing argan oil, this shower gel is truly indulgent. People who love Rose Jam Bubbleroon and Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner will love this too as we use the same floral, fruity-smelling combination of Turkish rose absolute and geranium oil”

I am so glad I decided to try this shower gel! Was a little nervous since I have never smelled or used it before. It has a similar lather and feel as the Flying Fox shower gel, so I was quite pleased! It’s scent it light and sweet but not over powering. It teams up well with my Ro’s Argan. 🙂

Lush Ro's Argan

Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

“Packed full of ingredients to feed and nourish the skin; argan oil, cocoa butter, cupuaçu butter, brazil nut oil, almond oil and fair trade shea butter. We didn’t think there was any room left after all those ingredients – but we just managed to squeeze in some goji berry juice in here too.”

Mmmmmm this stuff is divine. It’s a great way to end your shower, just apply the conditioner all over your body and then rinse off before you step out of your shower. It is perfect for after you shave, keeps your legs soft. There is really no need to apply a lotion after the shower but I am a moisture addict so I usually still grab some coconut oil to apply. I have really notice a difference in my skin after a shower, not as red or dry.

Lush Lovely Jubblies

Lovely Jubblies

“A luxurious cream to make you soft and snuggly, with added ingredients to tighten and firm the skin.”

Don’t let the “Breast Cream” weird you out! Haha Even though it is perfect for them. This cream is so nice for under your eyes, thighs and bum. Really anywhere you would like to tighten or smooth. The scent really lingers and it is quite beautiful.

Halloween 2013

It’s that time again! Ooooooooooo…time for spooky, creepy, wonderful Halloween makeup. I love all of it! I can’t wait to play with different looks. Here is my first fun Halloween makeup application. I just decided to quickly try out a skeleton, it literally took me 10 minutes. I could’ve given it more effort but I wanted to just play around and see how it would look. Hope you like it!

Me (28)

Me (30)

First, I applied a matte black eye shadow, I used Wet & Wild “Panther” to hollow out my cheeks, eyelids and nose. Blended it out so it would not be too harsh and added extra lines, shading to other areas of my face to give it more personality. Ya, know skeleton personality. 🙂 I then applied some white to brighten under my eyes and forehead with my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in “Milk”. Lastly, I added a purple/mauve lipstick to make my skeleton a little classier and ladylike of course!

More to come…

Real Techniques Brushes

Real Techniques Brushes

Real Techniques Brushes

  • Synthetic bristles are ultra plush and smoother than the hair you’ll find in other brushes.  Since taklon is synthetic, it’s 100% cruelty-free. The soft fibers help create a flawless, high-definition finish in any type of light – from sunlight to harsh indoor lighting.
  • The color-coded system corresponds to the key steps of makeup application so you can create a flawless base, enhanced eyes and the perfect finish like a pro.
  • Each brush head is hand-cut to the perfect shape, allowing for precise application from dense coverage to a soft, delicate finish.
  • The collection is suitable for a wide range of products and every makeup need – from powders, creams, and liquids to mineral makeup, highlighter, and shimmer.
  • Brush names on the handles make for easy reference when creating your favorite look.

These have become one of my favorite brush lines. They are extremely well made but at a great price! I love the style, color and softness the brushes have. I still use my Sigma brushes but the Real Techniques have been what I grab for when I apply my makeup in the morning before work. I am just really impressed with how well they blend. Cleaning them also seems to be a breeze, which is a task I normally do not look forward to. I know that Ulta carries the Real Techniques line, so keep an eye out for those Ulta coupons or special sales on these brushes! Every little bit helps! I have begun to collect all of the brushes I prefer for my collection. You can never have too many makeup brushes right? Well, too many GREAT brushes!

Real Techniques Duo Fiber

Duo Fiber

I just picked these up the other day for 30% off! I have been eyeing them for a month or so but was just waiting for an Ulta sale and my patience paid off! I haven’t had much use yet but so far they are really nice. I prefer the duo fiber for applying my blush so that brush has had the most use. I will update as I use them more!

Mascara Combo

I previously reviewed L’Oreal Shocking Extension Mascara and Maybelline Rocket Mascara separately. As I loved the L’Oreal Extension, I wasn’t truly feeling the Maybelline Rocket. However, I have been experimenting with pairing the two recently and I must say it is very nice! Which makes me happy because I never like purchasing a product to end up never using it again.

After curling my lashes (very important step) I apply a generous coat of L’Oreal Shocking Extension Mascara to both eyes. Then I apply the Maybelline Rocket Mascara as my second coat of mascara. The lengthening and separation of the L’Oreal with the added volume of the Maybelline is a perfect match! I do recommend trying this pairing. I have always been a believer in using two different mascaras to achieve a great lash. So this has been a great discovery for me! 🙂

Almay Color Care Liquid Lip Balm

Almay Balm GlossAlmay Liquid Lip Balm

I picked up one of these the other week and was quite excited. I am not a lip gloss kinda girl, I have tried so many and there are some I use on special occasions but I do not wear gloss daily. Almay was advertising these as a Gloss/Balm, so staying power and shine should be guaranteed. The color I chose was a more natural shade called Rosey Lipped, cute name, nice wearable color. I think the shade is okay on the lips, not much to be desired, left me wanting more color. But also once the product was applied I felt like it wore off almost instantly. There was absolutely no staying power. The gloss shine was gone and the balm only slightly visible. Literally minutes of lip color. I keep applying it thinking, well maybe I just need to give it more of a chance. But le sigh…I do not see me wearing this or repurchasing even a different color. I just don’t think this product is for me.

Maybelline Rocket Mascara

Maybelline Rocket Mascara

Maybelline Rocket Mascara

I am definitely a fan of Maybelline’s mascaras, they have such a great selection with great formulas. I would say in general I am never completely unhappy about one of there mascaras. I prefer a soft, separation, so if a mascara gets dry fast or makes my eye lashes feel crispy, I lose interest fast.

When I first used this mascara I was impressed at how “wet” the application was. I felt like it coated my lashes well and held a good curl. Within a few weeks of use I felt my lashes started to look clumpier and they did feel crispy. I don’t know if it is just the way the formula turns after being exposed to the air, after the first opening or if I was applying too many coats. I tend not to grab this mascara anymore and go for my good old L’Oreal Extension or L’Oreal Voluminous. So in conclusion this isn’t a “bad” mascara, just not for me. If you have shorter lashes this mascara will add beautiful volume and, coupled with the fantastic brush, help extend the look of your lashes.

Eye Brow Products

Your eyebrows play a very important roll to complete your makeup look. I use to neglect my brows when I was first figuring out makeup, I didn’t understand the need to shape them, tweeze them, fill them in. I didn’t understand what a difference it could make! Now that I am wiser 😉 I know better.
I went through my fair share of shapes and style of eyebrows. I had thick, unshapely brows when I was young (thanks dad). When I discovered waxing and tweezing, I went nuts. Soon I had created a thin, too thin, brow which did nothing for my features. Then I was introduced to a wonderful friend/co-worker who opened up my eyes! Literally! She demanded I grew out my brows, let the monsters be free. I never thought a thicker but shaped brow could change my appearance for the better. Everyone has different opinions and different preferences to their look and that’s what is so great about it. So many ways to change and mold your features to what makes you happy.

I am a firm believer that no matter the color of you hair, your brows should be filled in. The slightest color can create a complete look. With so many products out there, you can find the perfect tool to help groom your eyebrows.

e.l.f Eyebrows

e.l.f Eyebrow Kit

This little guy is my personal favorite! First of all the price…$3.00! Come on now, that’s great! The left side of this kit is a colored wax. I first apply this to outline, fill in and create the illusion of brow hair. The waxy texture helps direct the hairs and shape the brows. Then I follow up with the right side of the kit which is a colored powder. The powder helps the brows look softer and more realistic, also while helping control the oils on your skin. The little angled brush that comes with the kit is actually quite handy!

Revlon Eyebrow Pencil

Revlon Brow Fantasy

This is a great tool! The pencil is ideal for creating little strokes to look like hair. Easy for minor fill in needs. Takes a steady hand but the end result can be perfect. Follow up with the other side of the pencil and comb through with the colored gel to help smooth and tame your brows.

Brows To Go

Brow Bar To Go

Similar to the e.l.f Eyebrow Kit, the Brow bar is the complete eye brow product! This compact includes a brown powder, light brown powder, and an eyebrow wax. The colorless wax is nice for keeping stray hairs tame. It really does have everything you need!

Cover Girl Brown Shadow

Cover Girl Brown Smolder Eyeshadow

Now, who says you need a fancy pencil or brow kit? Haha If you want to be completely simple, just find a shade of your favorite matte eyeshadow that matches best and go to town! Sometimes that’s all you need to complete your look, just fill in sparse areas of your brow.

Cover Girl Clear Mascara

Cover Girl Great Lash Clear Mascara

Not just for eye lashes! One of the best gels to use to keep your brows in place. I even use this after I use the e.l.f Eyebrow Kit. The wax does a great job by itself, but this baby makes it complete. It has such a great holding power, last all day with no strays! See what I did there? Haha

Makeup Brush Storage & Organization

How do you store your makeup brushes? Do you keep them in a drawer…makeup case…in a cup…with a cat…in a hat? 😉 We all have to store them somewhere. Maybe you only have a couple of brushes but maybe, just maybe (like me) you have 20 or more. I know I like to have a variety of shapes and sizes, each brush with it’s certain job. I also choose to have more brushes so when some are dirty I do not have to rely on cleaning all of them. I find my ways to work around a dirty brush! Haha Here are some fun ideas and ways to store and organize your own makeup brushes! Enjoy!

Brush Holder (3)

A Mug

This one is kind of obvious but perfect for a small brush collection. Any cute or fun cup, mug or drinking glass will do! Place them brush tip up and set on your vanity or bathroom counter.

Brush Holder (2)

A Vase

You can find a vase that fits the size or shape you want at any local craft or home décor store. You can just place your brushes directly in the vase to keep them organized.

Brush Holder (4)

Vase Beads

Vase Filler

Beads, marbles, jewels, sand etc…help your brushes to stand up, stay secure and separated. Sometimes makeup brushes can move around or fall deeper into their holder. These fillers can add some great color, texture and style to your décor!

Brush Holder (1)

Brush Holder (5)

Desk Organizer

I currently am using something similar to this! It’s a desk organizer that spins! Which I find so convenient and easy. Lots of little areas to keep makeup products and holes to organize your makeup brushes. If the pockets are too deep I just add a few beads/vase fillers to help lift the brushes. It’s nice to spin so you can see all of your collection, and find the brush you need.

Hope these ideas help you organize and store your makeup brush collection. Have fun with it! Let your creativity take over!

Everybody loves a good fragrance, not everybody will like the SAME fragrance. We all find scents we are drawn to, that make us feel a certain way. I love that about perfumes! I love seeing what one person vs. the next prefer with different scents.

When I worked for Aveda, one of the jobs I enjoyed was helping clients pick out their own Pure-Fume. The unique style to where the client can choose a couple different singular notes or aromas they preferred and we would mix it with the Pure-Fume to get their perfect scent! Aromaology with pure flower and plant essences, 90% of their essential oils are certified organic. Some of my favorite Aveda Aromas were Lavender Fleurs Oil a sweet, herbaceous middle note, Eucalyptus Oil which clarifies and purifies, Rose Absolute is soothing and moisturizing, and Tangerine Oil tones and stimulates. It’s nice to be in control of your fragrance.

Perfumes represent you. No matter the scents that surround us, your personal scent can play a major role in how you feel and how others feel. Perfumes warm up to the body and can change in fragrances depending on so many things. Picking out a fragrance can be a fun and enlightening experience. These are a few of my personal favorite perfumes. Smell away! 🙂

Burberry Brit

Burberry Brit

“A fragrance that keeps the tradition but with a modern sound, it brings the English irony and English dignity. It opens with fresh notes of green lemon, frosted pear and white almond. The heart blooms with white peony. The dry down is very gourmand with vanilla, amber, mahogany and balsamic Tonka bean accords.”

Man, do I have some great memories with this perfume! I liked everything about it, it felt more mature and classy. It is not too bold and in your face, it fades nicely throughout the day. It is a classic scent. It’s great when your perfume is a scent that has attached to your memory. Feels like it’s meant to be, makes you happy. This does that for me.

Lush Lust

“It’s virtually unheard of for a perfume to be this sexy. Seriously, we have really done it this time. Lust is a heady mash-up of rich floral and a warm, woody base that lasts on the skin for hours and hours. LUSH perfume and co-founder Mark has been working on jasmine fragrances for years, and this time he’s gone all the way. Unabashedly sexy, Lust stirs an inexplicable carnal yearning. Resistance is futile.”

The first time I smelled this perfume I fell in Lust…I truly did. My thoughts were it came straight from a garden with the strong Jasmine scent. And it was strong but so nice. Great for spring and summer! I tested the solid version of Lust and immediately got compliments on the scent. It was something that warmed up to my body well, felt romantic and sexy. My husband loved it.

Juicy Courtue Perfume

Juicy Couture

“Now everyone can lead the charmed life of a Juicy girl. Splash on our signature scent featuring top notes of watermelon, mandarin, and passion fruit combined with the sparkle and freshness of bright marigold and green apple, lightened by a splash of water hyacinth and crushed leaves. Deeper notes of wild rose with sophisticated princess lily and creamy tuberose undertones. Base notes of caramel créme brulée and vanilla meld with elegant precious woods and patchouli to create a delicious lingering scent.”

This is my new favorite for sure! I have been wearing this fragrance like crazy! It’s a brand of fragrance I wouldn’t normal try out but one day I was on the hunt for a new perfume to add to my collection. I tried the roll-on testers in the fragrance department and continued shopping around. I kept smelling my arm and I was sooo pleasantly surprised in how much I enjoyed the scent. They say this specific fragrance if very different on different people, wears accordingly to your body temperature and such. Which I thought was neat. I have also been complimented so many times when wearing this. Love everything about it! Sexy and romantic.

Travelo Purfume

Travalo is a purse-sized travel perfume atomizer bottle with a new patented valve that allows refills in seconds. These things are soooo great! Picked one up for $12.00, threw it in my purse and can refresh my perfume whenever I need to throughout the day. They have so many different designs and colors to choose from on there website. I wish I would’ve looked there instead of purchasing at a store, but I still love my little guy. I will purchase more when I want to bring different fragrances at once.

Cream Eyeshadows

Cream eyeshadows are such a great way to switch up your normal eyeshadow routine. I never used to interested in cream shadows, but when I discovered what great staying power some of them have I was sold! I personally like to use cream shadows as a base, an eye shadow primer, if you will. Apply with your fingers and blend so there is a light, solid layer on your eyelid. Then you can apply your favorite powder eyeshadow on top of the cream shadow. It can help bring out the color or shade of the powder or can even help smudge/smoke out a dark colored powder. If I am feeling lazy or just want to have a bit of color, cream shadows are easy and fast to apply to the lid and go! Not much technic or skill needed.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 2

Maybelline Color Tattoo

These little guys are fantastic! So many great color choices. I only have a few of the more neutral shades, but the amazing pigmented colors are quite tempting. Maybe when I am braver with my own makeup I will grab some of those up! 🙂 They all have great staying power with or without powder eyeshadow. They claim 24 hr wear, and I believe it! Great for summer, great for if you go swimming. The only con to these eyeshadows is after a few months the product can dry out a bit. So make sure they are tightly sealed after every use!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Bad To The Bronze.

Bad To The Bronze

My favorite color I own, such a perfect bronze! It’s a metallic that is super easy to wear. Blend it out to a soft shimmer. I think it would look great on any eye color.

Revlon ColorStay Shadow Sticks

Revlon Color Stay Eyeshadow Sticks

Similar to the Color Tattoos, with having great staying power. Paired with a light and dark shade to make multiple looks. I actually do love that they are in stick form, you really do not even have to use your finger to blend if you do not wish to. The applicator glide and distributes the shadow evenly.

Revlon ColorStay Smokey Shadow Stick

This is my favorite pairing! The cream color is an amazing primer, works well with ANY powder shadow color because it is so neutral and matches my eyelid well. Just adds a slight shimmer that can be blended away with a matte powder. I don’t use the brown/bronze as much, but it is a nice crease color.

Benefit POREfessional

Benefit Porefessional

Benefit POREfessional

Benefit’s POREfessional “PRO balm to minimize pores. Quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skin tones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.”

Sometimes certain foundations throughout the day can settle into your fine lines and your pores. No matter how great the foundation is, it’s working into your skin. I find this balm very good for a more diffused and “soft focus” look. The product comes out a cream consistency with a color tint. Don’t worry! No matter your shade it will blend into your skin leaving a soft, silky finish. Love the way my foundation applied over this product. I think it will be a nice change to my current makeup routine.

Full size balm is around $30.00. I purchased the travel size balm for $10.00 which included That Gal brightening primer.

I have yet to try this product. But look forward to the experience soon! Review to come…
